Leo PJ Nevels
Leo is our Managing Director and the driving force behind our growth and success.
He currently also acts as our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) and is the technically competent person for the site under our Environment Permit.
"I grew up surrounded by nature as well as chemistry and early on developed a passion for engineering, problem solving and the Environment. Therefore it was without question that I was going to study Chemical Engineering at the Technische Hogeschool in Delft in The Netherlands. Graduating with a Masters after six years, I followed my heart and re-located to the UK where I researched the opportunities for starting a new recycling service. This lead to our Company being formed in May 1993 and growing it steadily to its current size.
I enjoy my job. Working with professional colleagues & driving our success forward to reach its maximum potential is my goal.
I also enjoy spending time with my family and persue my hobbies whenever I can with the same passion as I have for my work.”
Nessa is our Accounts Manager for Sales and Office Administrator.
Her work includes accounts, ISO & REACH registrations, training and Personnel. She works closely with Jo, our Bookkeeper to keep all in order.
Nessa has many transferrable skills from working for the NHS for 18 years, she most latterly managed medical research working between university academics and NHS Consultants across UK Trusts to enable patients to access new treatments. Nessa served a full-term as an Expert member of a UK Ethics Committee and committed many years working in the background with NHS Trust R&D Departments to standardised research work, particularly for stroke patients. Nessa's calm and 'can do' approach are an invaluable support to ECO-Option moving forward.
"I have recently started working for Eco-Option as the Accounts Manager and also look after the back office activities. I enjoy a challenge and always aim to deliver high quality output. In my leasure time I enjoy reading various types of publications".
Jeff is our Transport Manager.
Jeff joined ECO-Option following a distinguished Amry career deploying in Germany, Canada, the Middle East, Poland and Cyprus.
Jeff has always had strong links to transport, he passed out into the Royal Corps of Transport and completed his training as a Driver at the Army School of Mechanical Transport Leconfield. He was posted to 8th Transport Regiment in Munster, Germany and qualified as a Driving Instructor, Driving Licence Acquisition Instructor and Hazardous Good Instructor.
Jeff comes to ECO-Option as our "Staff Sargent for Transport" and his skills, knowledge and superb sense of humour move us smoothly through the daily challenges. He oversees all transport matters and with ever-increasing haulage needs he has expanded our vehicle & tanker fleet and the number of drivers to an extent that his role became 2; recruiting a trusted colleague to join him as a second transport manager.
Jeff works closely with our Lead Driver Simon to manage haulage off our Lostock Works site and with our experienced Process Operators to manage incoming and outgoing loads.
